Mistress of Ceremonies – Sandy Lish, Principal & Co-Founder, The Castle Group

Sandy Lish is principal and co-founder of The Castle Group, a 22-year-old women-owned PR and event management firm based in Boston, with offices in Atlanta and Maui. 

 
 
Sandy works with corporate, education, healthcare, startup and nonprofit clients on strategic communications initiatives around visibility, launches, branding and thought leadership. She’s also a nationally recognized expert on crisis communications.

Castle and Sandy have won many awards, including Stevie awards for International PR Firm of the Year (bronze) and Best Non-Profit/Charity Fundraising Event (gold), Corporate-Nonprofit partner and Best Place to Work from the Boston Business Journal and PR Daily’s 2017 Nonprofit PR Award. Recognizing excellence in women in business throughout the Commonwealth, Sandy received the prestigious Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award for Entrepreneurship. Sandy has recently been recognized with three national and regional honors: Enterprising Women's 2017 Women of the Year; Women's Enterprise Top Female CEOs of 2017; and Tomorrow's Women Today 2017 Woman of the Year.

Sandy’s community engagement includes serving on the boards of Massachusetts Bay Community College, Center for Women and Enterprise, New England March of Dimes and its national Volunteer Leadership Council, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, Boston College Chief Executives Club of Boston, and WGBH Corporate Executive Council. She also serves on the Public Relations Global Network, an alliance of 50 public relations firms around the world.

Before Sandy cofounded Castle in 1996, she held in-house marketing positions at KPMG, Lesley University and the Massachusetts Bar Association, and was an executive at IQ&J, a premier Boston agency.

Sandy has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She lives in Walpole, Massachusetts, with her husband, two teenagers and whoodle.
