Asha Carroll, Phasey, Tinmouth, VT: 2021 Rising Star Nominee
Asha’s business, Phasey, makes functional food for better periods. She started her Tinmouth, Vermont business because she wanted to create a place where we could create open and honest dialogue on periods through authentic brand activism that uses a line of modern functional pantry staples as the vehicle for driving that conversation .
Asha signed up for CWE’s 10-week business planning course to gain financial and strategic skills. Phasey has been in business since 2019 and recently launched at Urban Outfitters, Erewhon, and Foxtrot stores nationwide. By 2025, Asha hopes to start a line of cycle-centric accessories, a diverse set of owned media channels, and products built to support additional life phases like fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and menopause. When COVID hit, Phasey’s sales slowed, but CWE provided Asha with counseling and connections to successfully scale during this difficult time.
