Angela joins CWE Rhode Island with a professional background in program management at international law firm Brown Rudnick LLP, where she coordinated the pro bono legal work, employee volunteerism, and charitable giving across offices throughout the US and in London and Paris. Prior to that, she worked in fundraising and business administration at non-profit New England safety net hospital, Boston Medical Center. She holds a BA in Political Science from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
Angela has a very personal connection to the unique challenges faced by small business owners. She grew up watching her father launch a renewable energy technology startup company as an engineer-turned-entrepreneur, and she spent her adolescence working on her best friend’s small family fruit farm in Southern NH, eventually co-managing retail operations across their farm stands and local farmers markets.
In 2018, Angela co-founded a floral design company that services weddings & special events throughout New England. As a small business owner in an industry heavily impacted by COVID-19, she knows firsthand the devastation of this pandemic on an events-based revenue stream, as well as the challenges of pivoting and scaling back operations. As CWE Rhode Island’s COVID Business Recovery Project Manager, Angela is eager to apply her professional skillset and business knowledge to create inclusive and empowering programming that will help fellow entrepreneurs survive this financial crisis.
