Gaby joined the Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) staff in July of 2019. She comes to CWE with over 25 years of experience serving as the visionary leader of both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. Gaby has focused her professional life on working for impactful social enterprises including Discovering Justice, City Year, Crossroads for Kids, and before coming to CWE, uAspire. During her 8.5-year tenure at uAspire, Gaby served in a variety of fundraising, marketing, and public relations roles, including in the capacity of Executive Director for Massachusetts and as Chief Strategy Officer for the national office. Gaby brings her passion for economic empowerment and expertise in building strong organizations to CWE’s mission to lift up the women who lift up the world!
In addition to her current role at CWE, Gaby is on the Board of Dignity in Asylum, a not-for-profit that provides safe transitional housing and support for asylum seekers, refugees, people who have been granted asylum and unaccompanied minors at risk of homelessness. She also serves on an advisory board for Mentorworks, a not-for-profit whose mission is to open pathways to education and careers for students and candidates who may not have had the financial or social capital to do it on their own. Gaby is a graduate of Cornell University, with an MBA from Babson focusing on Entrepreneurship. Gaby was the co-founder of Fernwood Cove, a private all-girls summer camp in Maine where her daughter attends today.
