As an established small business owner when she arrived in CWE�s Boston office, Grace Richardson was able to use CWE�s programs to grow her existing business to financial success. She praises the benefits of her CWE experience, saying that since she has come to understand management and finances through CWE programs, �I am a better manager of my business.� Grace launched Ms. Grace�s Homeschool, an early care and education program for children in the Dorchester area, in 1997, but ran into difficulties quickly. With no business plan or market research, Grace struggled to stay afloat. She tried business classes all over the city, and finally found success at CWE

Since taking CWE�s business planning course, First Step FastTrac�, Grace�s household income and business revenues have increased, and she continues to return to CWE for consulting sessions. As a single mom, Grace�s business has allowed her to provide for her children and own her own home. She is proud to be making it in a business that helps children, and above all, is proud to be self-sufficient and successful.
