Fundraising & Special Events
The Center For Women & Enterprise holds several fundraisers per year that are vital in support of our programs and goals. Events are fun to participate in�volunteers often assist with planning, fundraising, marketing and client relations.

Business Consultants
The Center for Women & Enterprise provides technical assistance in all areas of small business management including market research, marketing strategy, human resources, and operational and financial management to women entrepreneurs seeking to stabilize or grow their businesses. A team of volunteer business consultants works with the entrepreneur to achieve the goals outlined in the consulting plan. Business consultants are required to make a six month commitment and are expected to work with up to six clients over the commitment period. Business consultants may meet with clients at CWE or on-site at client�s business as appropriate. Business consultants can expect to work with clients for approximately six hours a month on a bi-weekly basis. We are looking for Volunteer Business Consultants on an ongoing basis.

Seminars, Professional Groups, and Chamber Events
CWE attends approximately twenty seminars, professional groups and Chamber events throughout the year in Rhode Island. Volunteers help promote CWE programs and services and educate the public regarding current issues facing CWE. This is a great opportunity for someone who is available occasional nights and weekends and wishes to educate others about CWE.

Internships
CWE has immediate openings for responsible and highly motivated individuals to assist each of the offices with numerous outreach and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Requirements:
Interest in small business and economic development.
Available to commit to a minimum of one semester.
Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities.
Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in using the Internet, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Creative problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
Researching and creating course materials.
Scheduling client consulting appointments.
Registering clients for education and training programs.
Handling telephone inquiries and client intakes.
Mailing and distributing promotional materials.
General office administration.
Outreach within the community for new marketing opportunities.
