"For me, finding CWE was a goldmine. CWE was able to point me in the right direction, show me how to run my business effectively, and teach me about all the resources in the community. They have helped me save money, learn how to budget, streamline my business, and most of all, gain the confidence I need to be a business owner.”
In 1997, after a divorce left her with two young daughters to support on an income cut 75% overnight, Eileen Sinatra turned to entrepreneurship to help her get off public assistance and become economically self-sufficient. Today, Eileen operates Gingerbelle’s Parties and Events with revenues that have grown 500% since launching 5 years ago. Eileen’s household income has increased 75%, and she is now able to support herself and her two daughters solely on the income from her business.
The Center for Women & Enterprise was instrumental to Eileen’s success. Eileen participated in the Community Entrepreneurs Program, which helped her gain the business skills and the confidence to launch and grow her business. Working with CWE, Eileen also received a critical $4,000 business loan that helped her expand her business.
