Creating Website Content for Maximum Engagement - CWE RI - May 29
Build-it-yourself web platforms like Squarespace and Wix promise that you can build a beautiful and dynamic website in a single afternoon; which is only half the truth. While selecting a cool-looking template is a good start it’s up to you to create the most important part of your new website: the content!
Content is the heart of any website because it’s what attracts, informs, and engages potential customers. Many entrepreneurs and small business owners excitedly begin building their own site, finish the About Me page, and then sit back and think, “now what?”
In this class we will discuss how to make your website an effective marketing tool for your business by covering the following topics:
• Creating a content outline
• The Unique Value Proposition and its role on your website
• The importance of client testimonials
• How to build expertise using blogs and case studies
• How to optimize your visual content
If time permits, we may select select one or two student websites for a in-class review.
